The EESF Learning Journey

The EESF Learning Journey provides a structured yet flexible approach to embedding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching and learning. It guides educators through key sustainability themes while encouraging interdisciplinary thinking, collaboration, and real-world application. The EESF framework is intentionally flexible, allowing teachers from different disciplines to integrate sustainability into their lessons. Whether in discipline, educators can adapt the materials to fit their learning objectives and local context. This approach helps create engaging, student-centered learning experiences connected to real-world issues.

How to Use the EESF Teaching & Learning Resources

The EESF resources are designed to be easy to use and adaptable to different subjects and teaching styles. Teachers can:

  • Select a sustainability topic,
  • Explore ready-to-use learning materials,
  • Choose activities and discussion prompts,
  • And adapt the content to their classroom needs.

The materials support both standalone lessons and integration into existing curricula.

Each module connects specific SDGs with relevant learning outcomes and classroom activities. The resources encourage students to explore sustainability challenges from multiple perspectives, helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and global awareness skills.
